Being a sportsman, apart from the health benefits, I learned much about life. It teaches me about teamwork to achieve goals. It’s also about trust, discipline and responsibility and about dealing with success and failure. Another important aspect of sports is its ability to make people feel they are part of something. Hence there emerges the value of using sport as vehicle for development. But while the challenges are great, so is the commitment to find solutions. Competing in hockey has taught me that if I am not willing to give 120 percent, somebody else will.
